How the Market Sentiment Index works

NetWort's Market Sentiment Index (NMSI) scores four groups from 0 (Extreme Fear) to 100 (Extreme Greed), based on momentum, RSI, volatility, breadth and safe-haven demand:

IDX: IDX Composite (JKSE) - Jakarta Stock Exchange index tracking all listed Indonesian stocks. Score shows Networt's IDX Sentiment Index (NMSI-IDX): 0 = Extreme Fear, 100 = Extreme Greed.
US: S&P 500 - US large-cap equity index covering 500 leading companies. Score shows Networt's US Sentiment Index (NMSI-US) based on momentum, volatility, RSI, safe-haven demand, and junk bond spreads.
Crypto: Bitcoin (BTC/USD) - Used as the crypto market benchmark. Score shows Networt's Crypto Sentiment Index (NMSI-Crypto) based on BTC momentum, volatility, RSI, top-10 coin breadth, and BTC dominance.
Volatility: VIX - CBOE Volatility Index. Measures expected 30-day volatility of the S&P 500. Below 20 = Low (calm markets). 20-30 = Medium (elevated uncertainty). Above 30 = High (stressed markets).
