Kuok Khoon Hong's net worth was $3.8 billion per Forbes' real-time tracker on 30 October 2026, which put him 1,097th in the world. Seven and a half months earlier, Forbes' 2026 World's Billionaires list, released on 10 March 2026, had him at $4.1 billion, 1,044th. Both numbers come from Forbes, so the roughly 7% gap is a genuine before-and-after inside one tracker.
Kuok, 76, is the Singapore-based chairman and chief executive of Wilmar International, which Forbes says he cofounded in 1991 and built into one of the world's largest palm oil producers. The Singapore outlet Mothership, reporting on Forbes' March list, ranked him ninth among Singapore's 55 billionaires.
| Publisher | Date | Figure | World rank |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forbes, World's Billionaires 2023 | annual list | $3.1 billion | 949th |
| Forbes, World's Billionaires 2024 | annual list | $2.9 billion | 1,143rd |
| Forbes, World's Billionaires 2025 | annual list | $3.4 billion | 1,072nd |
| Forbes, World's Billionaires 2026 | 10 March 2026 | $4.1 billion | 1,044th |
| Forbes, Real-Time Net Worth | 30 October 2026 | $3.8 billion | 1,097th |
Every row is Forbes. The first four are annual list snapshots, so they compare fairly with each other: from the 2024 list to the 2026 list his figure rose about 41%, and from 2025 to 2026 about 21%. The last row is a live reading, which reprices listed holdings daily, so it is best compared with the March list as a drift, not as a new verdict.
We did not find a Bloomberg Billionaires Index figure for him that we could read and date, and we have not used undated figures that circulate on aggregator sites, including ones as low as $2.3 billion and as high as $4.2 billion.
Forbes traces the fortune to Wilmar International, the Singapore-listed agribusiness he cofounded in 1991. Forbes says its other cofounder is Indonesian billionaire Martua Sitorus, who has his own profile in this series.
Forbes also lists:
Forbes also notes that he is the nephew of Malaysian billionaire Robert Kuok, and that his son Kuok Meng Ru founded the music startup BandLab Technologies. Forbes keeps a separate "Kuok Khoon Hong & family" entry, so a reader checking Forbes should confirm which of the two pages a quoted number comes from.
Forbes' profile text was last updated on 10 March 2026 and does not say what moved the real-time figure between March and October. What can be said is mechanical: because the largest part of the number sits in listed companies, it is repriced with their share prices every trading day, while private holdings such as property stakes are not. On 30 October 2026 Forbes' page showed the figure up $55 million, or 1.42%, on the day.
Over a longer span the pattern is uneven. His figure on Forbes' annual lists was $3.1 billion in 2023, fell to $2.9 billion in 2024, then rose in each of the next two years. Nothing we found from Forbes ties a particular company event to those changes, so we do not offer one.
Moderately. The listed holdings can in principle be checked against exchange filings and share prices, which is more than can be said for fully private fortunes. What outsiders cannot see is how Forbes values the unlisted stakes or divides holdings between Kuok and his family. For how a different palm oil fortune looks on the same tracker, compare Ciliandra Fangiono, whose Forbes entry is explicitly a family figure. For a founder who sold down his link to a listed company, see Martua Sitorus, and for a plantation fortune inside a wider group, Sukanto Tanoto.
Know which Forbes number you are quoting. The March list says $4.1 billion and the live tracker says $3.8 billion for the same person, and both are accurate readings taken at different times.
A fortune in listed shares is a moving number. The same person can be 1,044th in March and 1,097th in October without anything about their business being reported as different.
Nothing in the public record we reviewed for this article suggests anything beyond a large, openly reported shareholding in listed companies.
