Bambang Sutantio's net worth was about $1.8 billion per Forbes' real-time data in mid-September 2026, as reported by Fortune Indonesia. Forbes' Indonesia's 50 Richest 2025 list had put him 34th at $2.35 billion. Over the same stretch his company, the dairy and processed-food group Cimory, reported first-half 2026 net profit up about 18% and revenue up about 25%.
Sutantio founded Cimory and is president commissioner of its listed arm, PT Cisarua Mountain Dairy Tbk (IDX: CMRY). Almost everything a tracker says about his fortune comes down to one listed stock.

Every row is Forbes, so the comparison stays inside one publisher. It is still a mix of annual lists and real-time readings taken on different days, so the move from $2.35 billion to $1.8 billion is a direction, not a precise measurement. Kontan once placed him 27th at roughly $2 billion, a ranking that does not match the Forbes lists above, so we have not used it. MarketScreener shows a figure near $1.06 billion dated 29 June 2026 with no stated method, and we have left it out.
We did not find a Bloomberg Billionaires Index figure for Sutantio, so the only disagreement on show is Forbes against itself.
The anchor is Cisarua Mountain Dairy (CMRY). Fortune Indonesia reports that he held about 4.25 billion shares, or 53.56%, as of 31 December 2025, making him the controlling shareholder. A filing-based holding like this is one of the more checkable parts of any Indonesian fortune.
CMRY pays out heavily. Its April 2026 shareholder meeting approved a total cash dividend of Rp1.59 trillion, 78.06% of 2025 net profit of Rp2.03 trillion (BCA Sekuritas, Liputan6). An interim dividend of Rp100 per share, about Rp793 billion in total, was scheduled for payment on 18 September 2026 (Bisnis.com, 26 August 2026). Dividends are cash a tracker does not need to model, though no publisher we found says how Forbes treats them.
CMRY is not in NetWort's curated ticker list, so we do not link a price page. You can compare how other consumer fortunes sit in listed shares in the profiles of Jogi Hendra Atmadja and Eddy Katuari.
Cimory reported first-half 2026 net profit of Rp1.17 trillion, up 17.89% from Rp993.88 billion, on revenue of Rp6.50 trillion, up 25.49%, with the dairy segment growing 54% (Investortrust and Kontan, August 2026; Bisnis.com gives revenue as Rp6.46 trillion). First-quarter revenue was Rp3.16 trillion, up 27.87%.
The share price tells a different story. On 7 May 2026 CMRY closed at Rp4,950, still down 12.39% for the year (Kontan). Analysts quoted by Kontan flagged rising raw material and packaging costs as a pressure on profit growth.
Strong earnings alongside a lower tracked fortune is a reminder that a tracker follows the share price, not the income statement. None of the publishers we found says why Forbes' figure for him fell, and we do not connect the two.
Fairly, for a founder fortune. One listed company, one disclosed stake, public financial statements. The open questions are the exact date of each tracker's share price and whether any holdings sit outside CMRY, which the sources we found do not describe. Compare Hermanto Tanoko, where the fortune also rests on one listed group.
A growing company is not a rising fortune. A founder's tracked wealth moves with the share price on the day a tracker looks, so profit can rise while the number falls.
One publisher can disagree with itself. Forbes' annual list and real-time readings are separate measurements. Nothing in the public record we found for this article suggests anything beyond openly disclosed shareholdings and published company results.
